Ovation Global DMC
, a leading global destination management company, has unveiled the shortlist for its inaugural Huggability Award.
"The response to the award was simply overwhelming’" said Padraic Gilligan, Managing Director of Ovation Global DMC.
"Nominations ranged from the heartfelt to the hilarious, Paul Flackett’s nomination of Cindy Crawford being a case in point".
Fellow Managing Director, Patrick Delaney added "I am delighted to see such a diversity of nominations coming in from every corner of the world for so many fully developed personalities who each, in his or her own way, has the ‘huggability’ factor’".
Patrick himself received a number of nominations but has not been included on the shortlist as these nominations were traced back to hotmail, google and yahoo accounts owned by him!!
The ten nominees shortlisted are:

The winner of the Ovation Huggability Award for 2009 will be announced at a presentation at EIBTM Barcelona at 11.00am, Wednesday 2nd December on the Ovation Global Stand G725.
