EIBTM champions best Professional Education

eibtmEIBTM 2009 is set to organise its most comprehensive and diverse programme of seminars, workshops and conferences, underlying the event’s commitment to offering best professional education to the meetings industry.

Taking place from 1-3 December at the Fira Gran Via, Barcelona, the professional education programme targeted at agencies, associations and corporates recognises the need for changing business practises in the current economic climate.

It will offer businesses and individuals insightful sessions that will better prepare them for the challenging times ahead.

Erica Keogan, EIBTM’s Education Content Manager said: “The event, together with our other international shows in Abu Dhabi, Beijing and Australia, has a reputation for having its finger on the pulse of the industry and in creating educational programmes that focus on issues that directly impact the sector. Those that attend the educational programme want to know how their businesses can maintain, develop and attract business. That’s exactly what the programme will deliver."

“As well as presenting the EIBTM Industry Trends and Mood of the Market reports, we will be expanding our Spanish programme to 10 sessions over the three days, working in partnership with MPI in providing an educational platform for their Global Knowledge Plan as well as tackling key issues such as CSR, hotel contracting, negotiating, technology, ROI, team dynamics and strategic meetings management.”

Carole McKellar, Executive Director UK and Ireland at HelmsBriscoe, explains the importance and reputation that EIBTM’s educational programme has within the industry: “Of all events in the meetings industry calendar, EIBTM provides one of the most comprehensive choices of conferences, seminars and workshops tackling the key issues, trends and developments of the moment."

"The three-day programme alone is worth the visit to Barcelona, and that’s not even including time spent with exhibitors in pre-scheduled meetings and networking events.  Knowledge gained has impacted directly on the running and success of the business.”

Full details of EIBTM’s agency, association and corporate educational programmes will be posted on www.eibtm.com/seminars once they are confirmed.
