EPEX is a new, practical and user-friendly virtual exhibitor space
Viparis is launching its new e-commerce site where exhibitors can order technical services on-line. An easy-to-use catalogue where services and options are clearly explained and illustrated with photos, EPEX provides an immediate overview of all the facilities available for an event.
It offers two entry routes: one for professionals (decorators, stand designers, agencies etc.) where searches are grouped by product codes, and one for non-experienced customers which offers greater user support, where searches are grouped by main types of services or technical options.
And just to make sure users don’t forget anything they need, articles commonly associated with each particular product are also displayed.
This new virtual exhibitor space includes a project mode where users can try out several stand options, input as many variations they want and compare prices. Like a dashboard, EPEX can also be used to monitor progress at the site by displaying a list of the stands being prepared, the projects and orders related to a particular stand, what payments have been recorded and a summary of orders made.
EPEX offers better user support, visible confirmation of current activities and useful alerts... it’s the perfect check-list for guiding users through a paperless and more environmentally-friendly order process.
StandTag by Viparis, a paperless world
With the new StandTag service, exhibitors can now create their own marketing area within the on-line platform. Easy to use, cheaper than other methods and with the option to apply their own colour scheme, this service allows exhibitors to produce all their promotional leaflets and other advertising tools using a paperless medium.
Any visitor with a Smartphone can instantly access all the exhibitor’s documents. The exhibitor is given a flashcode, a 2D barcode that he can display on his stand and include in any materials regarding the event. To receive documents straight to their inbox, all visitors have to do is take a picture of the flashcode and enter their details.
This system offers many advantages:
- Exhibitors are seen to be using the latest technologies and can benefit from an environmentally-friendly procedure, cost savings on printed materials and no more stock management issues! In addition, the system can automatically generate a list of people who have downloaded the documents.
- Visitors benefit from greater convenience and ease-of-use, doing away with reams of paper brochures and documents, instead receiving electronic materials that can be easily stored in their inbox.
Viparis has developed this new service in partnership with Mobiletag, creator of the mobile application that deciphers the barcodes. Box TV, see the world from your stand
Viparis brings you Box TV whereby exhibitors can now use their display area to rebroadcast* a whole host of national and international channels, including topical channels for their sector and, where available, temporary channels broadcast just for the event, such as the Terre d’Infos channel for the Agricultural or the Paris Motor Show temporary channel.
One particularly exciting feature of the International Paris Air Show held at the Le Bourget venue in Paris is when Box TV offers exhibitors the chance to broadcast the flight demonstration channel, live and at their stands, which is one of the main attractions at the event.
3D TV, making your message stand out
3D technology is not just for cinemas; it can be used for many purposes and is currently taking over conference rooms and exhibition venues too. Viparis, in partnership with XPAND, a 3D solutions specialist, can now offer event organisers and corporate exhibitors at conferences and fairs the chance to illustrate their displays in three dimensions: 3D screens, active shutter glasses, assistance with preparing 3D content...
The Viparis app for iPhone, information at your fingertips
In December 2010, Viparis launched its iPhone app for monitoring all the latest news from the public and professional fairs, conferences and shows taking place at each of its ten venues across Paris. With an events calendar, options by venue and advanced searches, users are offered several ways of accessing all the information they need to help prepare for their visit: dates, an add-to-my-calendar function, prices, on-line tickets, venue plans and routes based on chosen mode of transport...
This iPhone app also offers a number of fun yet practical extras: shake the handset and it will pick an idea at random; a parking memo will tell you immediately where you left your car; and visitors can use the “I’m here” function to advertise their presence at an event on social networking sites.
Geolocation for Paris expo Porte de Versailles on the Viparis app
For the Paris expo Porte de Versailles venue, the Viparis app also offers outdoor geolocation so that users can see where they are in real time and easily find their way to any pavilions or facilities located outside the main buildings, such as information points, car parks, restaurants and toilets.
Indoor geolocation: Find what you’re looking for
Viparis has teamed up with INSITEO, a specialist in indoor geolocation services, to offer exhibition and conference organisers an innovative geolocation service for indoor stands and facilities. Visitors can now use the Smartphone app, attractively designed using the same colour scheme as the event, to find whatever exhibitor, stand or service they are looking for, inside the venue buildings.
