Specialist conference venue and destination development consultants The Right Solution have begun the fit out of Europe’s newest convention centre in Dublin.
As the Convention Centre Dublin was handed over by the main contractors, CMP, to the centre’s management, The Right Solution initiated a three month programme for training and fitting out.
Appointed in 2009 to co-ordinate the procurement of the Fixtures, Fittings and Equipment (FF&E) to bring the centre to operational readiness, The Right Solution has already taken delivery of 667 of the 4,000 conference and banqueting chairs on schedule.
A steady stream of deliveries, from chairs and tables to defibrillators and recycling bins, is anticipated throughout May as fitting and installation gets underway.
From June onwards, there will be a series of practice events, to ensure that the building and its staff are completely ready for the first commercial events.
The Right Solution Director Eric Rymer commented: ‘The development is really moving at a pace now and it’s great to see everything taking shape. A venue starts to take on its personality once the fixtures and fittings are installed and we are delighted to see the development proceeding on time and on schedule to be operational in September 2010.”
Nick Waight, CEO of Convention Centre Dublin, added: ‘“It was a pleasure working with Eric from The Right Solution, who provided expert advice throughout The Convention Centre Dublin project. Together with our team, Eric is helping us create a fantastic product and we have appreciated his guidance in terms of what to buy and scheduling of deliveries to ensure we will open as scheduled on 1st of September.”
