The Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC) last week celebrated success at the Scottish Event Awards by scooping four awards.
Awards received include Best Large Venue and the prestigious Event Services Grand Prix in recognition for its work at the forefront of Scotland’s international events industry.
The Green Award was presented in acknowledgment of the SECC’s offsetting carbon emissions through supporting the restoration of the Caledonian Forest, by planting more than 68,000 trees.
Best Marketing Strategy was awarded to the SECC’s online box office ticketSOUP.com®, whilst Fran McIntyre, Managing Director of SECC owned QD Events received the accolade of Event Professional of the Year.
Ben Goedegebuure, Director of Sales for the SECC said: “It is an honour to have been recognised by our peers in the Scottish events industry, especially as 2010 marks the SECC’s 25th Anniversary."
"25 years on we are now a leading venue, attracting national and international business. These awards are a testament to all the hard work the SECC team have done in continuing to attract and deliver world class events in Scotland.”
