The Scottish Exhibition Conference Centre (SECC) has this week confirmed two new corporate conferences – the Co-Op Spring Conference 2011 and the Scottish Renewables Conference 2011.
The announcement follows on from a raft of association business wins confirmed by the venue last month.
The Co-Op will continue a strong working relationship with the SECC, this time bringing their annual spring conference to the SECC.
Scottish Renewables 2011 is coming to Glasgow for the first time and will form the basis of private and public strategy for renewable energy in Scotland over the next decade.
“The corporate events sector is a tough market at the moment, however we have some excellent relationships with great event organisers who want to host meetings at the SECC,” comments, Ben Goedegebuure, Sales Director at the SECC.
“Both these conferences are proven, successful events that carry with them major implications for their industries and their businesses; this is exactly the sort of business we want at the SECC.”
“Glasgow’s conventions market is really motoring at the moment,” comments Scott Taylor, Chief Executive, Glasgow City Marketing Bureau.
“We’re a destination that corporate meeting planners trust to get it right, at the right price, and with the right level of support from the city.”
The Co-Op Spring Conference, coming to the SECC in January 2011 and Scottish Renewable taking place in March 2011 are both being held at the SECC’s Lomond Suite.
