Event organizers who are not familiar with specific conference venues traditionally depend upon photographs, floor plans and websites that post meeting rooms size and seating.
Dolce Munich-Unterschleissheim recently introduced a web-based tool that provides three-dimensional, interactive depictions of its meeting space that enables planners to view various seating arrangements.
Dolce Munich-Unterschleissheim is the first hotel in Europe to implement this tool, Diagrams WebView by Newmarket International.

“It is important to provide meeting planners with modern technology, in order to be one step ahead in the highly competitive market,” said Paul van Wijk, Managing Director of the Dolce Munich-Unterschleissheim.
The hotel's website now includes a tab that provides three-dimensional views of its meeting rooms as well as function space at the adjacent BallhausForum.
The first floor view shows the hotel's Ammersee I & II rooms and ballroom. The second floor view includes 12 different rooms. The seventh-floor view shows the hotel's executive lounge, the Zugspitze, as well as an auditorium, lobby and four additional event rooms.
Also shown are the reception desk, Redox and Viktualien restaurants, Stephan's Bar and the breakout areas.
“Diagrams WebView allows us to present our business customers a visual image of our more than 4,700 square meter multifunctional event area, a true alternative to the traditional sketches, charts and columns of numbers,” van Wijk said
In addition to the graphic depiction, Diagrams Webview provides room dimensions, including size and height in meters or feet, and maximum capacity. Seating arrangements can be viewed in block-type, parliament, theater, reception and U-shape..
A search function queries the major parameters, then lists all appropriate rooms. The list may be sorted based on all pre-defined parameters into an ascending or descending order. One click on the name of the room leads the user back to the respective WebView user interface.
Requests for proposals can be submitted online for meetings, weddings and other events at all 27 Dolce hotels .
