Mayfair’s Dartmouth House held a special summer party for the meetings and event industry last month (7th April) to showcase its facilities and event offering for 2011-12.
A number of corporate event managers from companies including BBC Worldwide, Baystone Associates, Ernst and Young, KPMG and Conoco Phillips were among the 250 guests who enjoyed canapés and drinks produced by onsite caterer Leith’s.
The summer theme saw guests being treated to ‘Grilled fillet of beef with a salsa verde en croute’, ‘Marinated king prawns with chilli jam’, ‘Mediterranean vegetable brochette with pesto halloumi’ and ‘Cumberland sausages with red onion marmalade’.
While the bar offered mojitos, apple fizz and a selection of light and fruity wines.
Guests mingled in the venue’s five meeting and event spaces as well as the 150-capacity courtyard which features a marble floor, lanterns and a fountain.
Tours were also available to showcase Dartmouth House and highlight the versatility of room set-ups and the provision of in-house audio visual equipment. In the Churchill room on the venue’s second floor, distinctive table dressings were showcased including those recommended for Christmas, private dinning and wedding parties.
Richard Swan from Cornucopia music provided live soul music alongside other entertainment such as magician Adam Kiesner and caricaturist Jane Moore. Flowers were provided by Mary Jane Vaughan, cakes from Tempting Cake and lighting from Perception.
Richard Fisher, general manager of Dartmouth House said: “With the winter weather truly behind us we wanted our clientele to enjoy not only the first rays of sunlight at our courtyard but to also experience our spaces and hospitality.”
