The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) announced today that Monday night it won three awards, including Gold for Best Website, at the UK Meetings Industry Marketing Awards (MIMA).
The CCD also won Silver for Best Print/ New Media Advertising Campaign and Bronze for Best Integrated Marketing Campaign.
The awards were announced at a ceremony at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel in London.
“We are absolutely delighted with this fantastic recognition by the UK meetings industry. To win in all three categories, including Gold for our Website, was fantastic in our first year of operation,” said Elaine Phillips, Head of Marketing and Communications at The Convention Centre Dublin.
“It was a phenomenal year for us in terms of marketing activity, with a complete re-brand, developing a new website, marketing collateral, and a full schedule of PR and promotional activity around our launch in September 2010.”
Meetings Industry Marketing Awards are open to any organisation engaged in the organisation or provision of product or service to the UK meetings and events industry. The organisation does not need to be based in the UK, but should be active in the UK market during the year from 1st June, 2010, to 31st May, 2011.
Phillips added, “We have seen significant return on investment, with over 300 events hosted in our first year, and marketing generated leads continuing to account for a large proportion of our overall enquiries.”
