Chelsea FC Targets America For New Business

Chelsea-StadiumChelsea Football Club will be showcasing its venue in America this summer by exhibiting at two prestigious shows in a joint venture with London & Partners.

The club, which has continued to add to its already extensive meetings and events portfolio in 2011, will showcase its diverse facilities at both AIBTM in Baltimore, 21-23 June and IMEX America Las Vegas, 11-13 October.

AIBTM is the first large scale exhibition to bring together the world's entire meetings and events industry in one US location, whilst IMEX America, America’s newest exhibition for incentive travel, works in partnership with a number of associations.

Both exhibitions will provide Chelsea FC access to an extensive buyer forum from around the globe.

Now seen as one of London’s most complete venues, Chelsea Football Club will be promoting its 12.5 acre site and wealth of facilities for corporate events, hospitality and conferences.

The venue will be promoting to events planners and delegates a total of 21 flexible event spaces including the 1400m2 Great Hall, 60 syndicate rooms, 281 bedrooms in two hotels, four restaurants and bars including two by Marco Pierre White, The Chelsea Club health club and spa, as well as it’s latest addition Under The Bridge, an exclusive music venue with 720m2 of floor space.

Simon Hunter, Head of Venue at Chelsea FC, said: “Nowhere else in Central London can provide the number of facilities that Stamford Bridge now offers. As such, it is the ideal time for us to market to America and target new business at both these renowned exhibitions”.
