Ovation Global DMC unveiled the official shortlist of nominees for its 2011 Huggability Award.
This annual award, which launched in 2009 and was commended at the 2010 Meeting Industry Marketing Awards UK, recognises those individuals who make a real impact within the meetings industry, those with the ‘’huggability factor’’.
After two busy weeks of online nominations, voting has now closed and the winner will be revealed at the inaugural IMEX America tradeshow in Las Vegas where Ovation will exhibit on Stand 415.
The awards ceremony will take place on the Ovation stand at 2.00pm on Tuesday 11th October.

The six shortlisted nominees are as follows:
- Fernanda Nielsen, Account Executive, SEI Incentives, Dallas
- Joern Lucht, President & Founder, conworld.net
- Jukka Paco Halonen, Chairman Viada Oy Ltd, Finland & Vice President Site Global
- Michael Burke, Conference & Travel Services Manager, The Hanover Group, Boston
- Richard Elliott, Co-Owner & Publisher, Ignite Magazine & Site Canada Board Director
- Samme Allen, Head of Sales The Barbican Centre London & President MPI UK & Ireland
