Ovation Global DMC has been shortlisted for a Meeting Industry Marketing Award (UK) in the category of Best Brand Marketing Campaign.
The company was selected as a finalist on the basis of its ‘Huggability Awards’ and the impact of the campaign in promoting the Ovation brand while strengthening and rewarding relationships with customers, suppliers and thought leaders in the meetings and events community.
Launched in 2009, the annual ‘Huggability Awards’ campaign was introduced by Ovation to recognise those individuals who make a real impact, positive and otherwise, within the meetings industry, those with the ‘huggability factor’.
Inaugural winner was Rob Davidson, Senior Lecturer in Business Travel and Tourism at the University of Westminster in London who was honoured for his ‘‘enthusiasm, involvement and passion for the meetings industry, especially for bringing young people into the business as well as his charm and personality‘‘.
Plans are in place for the imminent launch of the second awards program with expressions of interest already received from potential nominees.
