The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization was held on 16- 25 October 2010 in Cape Town, South Africa.
Over 5,200 delegates from over 197 countries attended and thousands of others participated remotely online.
The registration process, from online, through to onsite registration management, was managed using solutions from Shocklogic Global Ltd, event software and technology solution specialists.
They provided a number of cutting edge wireless and ‘print-on-demand’ registration solutions. The Shocklogic team were onsite to provide both technical solutions and operational consultancy, including training and management of the congress registration staff.
Efficient Pre-Event Registrations – all event participants and volunteers were pre-registered using Shocklogic’s Participantlogic registration software platform.
Quick Access to Bookings and Confirmations - registration staff used iPads and handheld wireless printers to look up participant bookings and print barcode confirmations. Staff had the flexibility and ease of being able to access booking details from any location within the venue.
Fast Badging and Print on Demand - confirmation barcodes were scanned and a unique ‘badge preview’ was created on screen. This allowed delegates to quickly preview and confirm their badge details before printing.
Over 5,200 registrations were processed onsite with registrations being completed in only 5 seconds per participant.
Access Control - security staff used Smartphone’s, PDA’s and wireless barcode scanners to scan badges and instantly verify a delegate’s details when they were entering the venue.
