Lime Venue Portfolio, the UK’s largest collection of unique venues, will spearhead the British presence at the 2010 EIBTM Exhibition in Barcelona, Spain (30th November – 2nd December 2010).
Ahead of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, this year’s edition of one of the leading global meetings and events exhibitions will be used by Lime Venue Portfolio as an opportunity to demonstrate its capabilities to the gathering event organisers.
Lime Venue Portfolio’s mix of historic, cultural and sporting venues around the capital are set to be used for National Olympic Committee headquarters, press calls and conferences, and events held by sponsors and affiliates including fabulous gala-dinners.
Lime Venue Portfolio will occupy stand G120 at the EIBTM, which is expected to bring together over 8,000 visitors from every region of the world. In 2009, a total of 23.4 per cent of attendees represented travel agencies or incentive agencies, bringing into play Lime Venue Portfolio’s collection of over 70 leisure venues from stately homes to landmark attractions, museums and stadia which can exploit this niche.
Members of the Lime Venue Portfolio marketing team will run an advice bureau, using delegates’ specific criteria to identify the most suitable venue for each enquiry from over 100 unique meetings and event destinations.
Lime Venue Portfolio will process enquiries on site at the event, and are encouraging meetings and events buyers to book a meeting slot prior to the event in anticipation of a large number of visitors.
Louise Amphlett, head of Lime Venue Portfolio said: “The international outlook of EIBTM fits in with our strategy of promoting the UK’s largest collection of unique venues on a global scale."
"In the run-up to Olympic Games we are communicating the important message that London is the cultural capital of the world and that uniquely, Lime Venue Portfolio can offer a single point of contact for an unrivalled range of historic, cultural and sporting venues for meetings and events.
