Krisam Group, a membership organization representing over 250 unique and independent member hotels worldwide has announced two new appointments.
Joe Nahas, formerly the Director of Sales in the New York office, is opening a new Krisam office in South Beach, Fla.
A 9-year Krisam veteran, Nahas will cover the Florida market while also maintaining his key clients in the Northeast.
Alyssa Maselli, a professional with a strong background in marketing and hospitality sales management, has joined Krisam’s New York office as a National Sales Manager.
“These timely appointments strengthen our services in these two markets,” Jim Schultenover, President of Krisam Group, said. “With 30 member hotels in Florida, one of the fastest growing meetings and incentives markets, we felt that having a physical presence in the state was important. Joe is a natural to direct our efforts in the Southeast with his solid Krisam and hotel experience.”
“With the addition of the Florida office, Krisam now has eight offices across the country reflecting the growth we’ve been experiencing over the last year,” Schultenover continued.
“Alyssa will be a key player in meeting the demands of that growth and building upon it. With business up 20% over 2010, we will continue to expand as the market dictates.”
Prior to joining Krisam in 2002, Nahas worked for five years as a group sales manager with the Monarch Hotel in Washington DC, now a Fairmont property. A native of New Jersey, he holds a BS in Marketing from the University of Maryland. He began his career in the hospitality and meetings industry after spending several years in Los Angeles in film and television.
“I am really looking forward to expanding Krisam’s reach with the opening of this new office in Florida,” Nahas said. “I also have to admit that I find the Florida weather most welcoming.”
Nahas’ home-based office opened officially on August 25 in South Beach.

Maselli has spent the last seven years in hospitality sales for Fairmont Hotels in San Francisco and Bermuda working closely with the Northeast market. Prior to that she was in sales and marketing for Bernardaud NA, Inc, a retailer in luxury tabletop porcelain and accessories.
She holds a degree in French, Communications, and Fine Art from Vanderbilt University and is fluent in French. Maselli comments, “I am most happy to use my experience in group sales and incentives in representing Krisam’s fine collection of properties. I look forward to working with such a great team and organization.”
