Keith Prowse Ushers In New Era For Corporate Hospitality At Wimbledon

The-Gatsby-ClubKeith Prowse, a UK hospitality leader, has set out its blueprint for the future of corporate hospitality by revealing the new designs for The Gatsby Club at The Championships, Wimbledon.

The official hospitality provider at The Championships since 1982, Keith Prowse presented plans for Wimbledon’s award-winning entertaining hub at its annual Wimbledon Wine Tasting, held at The Savoy in central London last night (Thursday, 31st March).

The audience brought together the cream of the corporate world and selected media figures to choose the wines that will be served at The Championships via an electronic voting system.

Spacious and sleek, 2011's new The Gatsby Club will provide an entertaining option to impress guests at Wimbledon with its super-styled Italian-led design.

With flashes of citrus, the double-height glass-fronted space will feature Eames-inspired furnishings, embodying the redefinition of the very best in sporting hospitality. Michelin-starred culinary guru Albert Roux will renew his appointment as Chef at The Gatsby Club, designing the eagerly awaited menu for this year's tournament.

Ahead of the Wine Tasting, Andy Vinsen, Keith Prowse’s Commercial Director, talked guests through a series of artist’s impressions of The Gatsby Club.

Guests will enjoy the finest summer cuisine and the attentive service levels recently championed in hit series Service with Michel Roux on BBC2. An unrushed dining experience inside The Gatsby Club’s air-conditioned restaurant will prepare guests for the on court action while garden areas provide an alfresco ambience perfect for classic Wimbledon Afternoon Tea with strawberries and cream.

The Wimbledon Wine Tasting took place in The Savoy’s Abraham Lincoln Room, where from a selection of four white and four red wines, the final choice from the white wines was the Pouilly Fuisse La Croix Denogent 2007, while the Chateauneuf du Pape Rouge Chateaux St-Jean 2008 was the pick of the reds.

Andy Vinsen, Keith Prowse’s Commercial Director said: “As a long-standing official hospitality provider to The AELTC, we are delighted to raise the bar for the best in hospitality and welcome in a new era for The Gatsby Club at Wimbledon. The Gatsby Club is now primed to seal its reputation as the leading destination for world-class dining and service at one of the iconic sporting events.”
