In response to an increasing interest for experience and proficiency in the meeting planning profession, ME Productions created a student internship program to help traverse these eager students into knowledgeable professionals.
Creating an intern program can be a daunting task for any company. It requires time, training and investment.
But it was ME’s way of giving back to our community, and our industry. The result has been win-win!
The interns now educate ME on the merits and possibilities of social networking. They are taking ME Productions to a new echelon with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn as the company shares its marketing prowess.
Interns have been instrumental in developing videos and links to ME’s products and services.
They are launching “fan” pages on Facebook and communicating on twitter and LinkedIn.
ME Production interns can be seen in action as they post interesting questions and provide helpful hints and ideas for ME’s new Bridal Buzz and Mitzvah Buzz on Facebook. ME’s corporate Facebook page ME Productions highlights recent events, new trends and venues.
Developed as a formal program nine years ago, students are able to receive credit while enjoying hands on experience in every facet of the Company.
There are interns in marketing, event production, graphic and floral design, destination management as well as accounting and office management.
Interns can concentrate on the Company’s social side planning Weddings, Bar/Bat Mitzvah’s or Gala Events – learning how to create memorable events from beginning to end.
In the corporate area, interns learn the elements of planning corporate incentive meetings, product launches and general sessions. Interns with an affinity to the arts, work along side event producers in booking name talent, entertainment and music.
The community is abuzz with the Company’s Internship Program. Schools throughout Florida are contacting ME Productions as a learning environment for its students.
But desire for opportunity has brought the Company interns from a host of locations including New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas, New York, California and West Virginia to as far away as the Switzerland, Germany and France.
