Last year Copenhagen was the host city for European Operation Room Nurses Association Congress 2009, with 1800 delegates in the Bella Center, as a result of which the host of the congress, received IAPCO's Regional Client Award.
Behind the nomination was IAPCO member Peder Andersen of DIS Congress Services, Denmark:
"We have worked together with the organisation for six years culminating in a highly successful congress, in addition to introducing the EORNA ACE accreditation system - a European model for accreditation of perioperative nursing and care."
The award was given in recognition of the Committee's role as hosts of EORNAC 2009, with especial mention of Anette Pedersen, as President of the Congress, for her outstanding leadership.
