arinex Exceeds Expectations With Triple Industry Award Wins

arinexarinex, a leading specialist in conferences, events, incentives and destination management, has won the coveted Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) Government or Association Meeting of the Year award in two states this year – only a month after being named the ‘Best PCO/Event Company’ in Australia.

The MEA awards were announced on Thursday 10 March 2010 at the individual MEA State Gala Nights – an evening where the best of the business events industry are awarded after a detailed process involving written submissions from the companies, and a stringent judging procedure.

In New South Wales, arinex was presented with the premier MEA award for the management of the XXIV FIG International Congress 2010, and in Victoria, the Inaugural International Advance Care Planning Conference 2010 received the accolade.

The MEA award wins arrive just a few weeks after arinex was awarded with the ‘Best PCO/Event Company’ title under micenet AUSTRALIA’s Readers’ Choice Awards 2010.

micenet AUSTRALIA magazine’s 54,925 readers were asked to vote for their favourite organisation or destination that they had used in the past 12 months, across 11 different categories in the Australian MICE industry.

The winners were revealed at this year’s AIME exhibition, held in February at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Roslyn McLeod, Managing Director of arinex, said that she was honoured and delighted with the company’s achievements.

“This is testament to the strong working partnership we have with our valued clients internationally and nationally,” she said. “The award is reflective of the daily hard work that our team puts in, to ensure success not just for us, but ultimately for our clients.”

“We congratulate all the winners of the MEA state awards this year. We are proud to be standing alongside these industry leaders.”

The New South Wales MEA award is a reflection of the phenomenal success the XXIV FIG International Congress represented, when it became the biggest meeting that has been held in the history of the International Federation of Surveyors, breaking records in every aspect of the Congress.

In Victoria, the Inaugural International Advance Care Planning Conference 2010 exemplified a remarkable growth story – an inaugural conference so successful that it grew into an international society, with annual international conferences planned. Both the society and the conferences will continue to be managed by arinex.

arinex will join all the MEA state award winners as finalists in their respective categories at the National MEA Awards Night on 19 April in Brisbane, where the national award winners will be announced.

arinex (formerly Tour Hosts pty limited) is currently in MEA’s Hall of Fame (2008‐2011) for Meetings Management – 8 Employees or More. Companies enter the Hall of Fame after three National Awards for the same category in three consecutive years.
