This has been a truly rewarding year for Christian Mutschlechner, Director of the Vienna Tourist Board’s Vienna Convention Bureau and President of the Austrian Convention Bureau.
Last May he received the Unity Award of the Joint Meetings Industry Council (JMIC), the umbrella organization of leading international conference industry associations, and has now also been awarded the I.M. Austria Award by the special interest group of trade fair and live marketing specialists in Austria.
I.M. Austria – the special interest group of trade fair and live marketing specialists in Austria – brings together companies involved in trade fair and event construction, event marketing, technical services, exhibition organizers and location providers.
The association made this award to Christian Mutschlechner in recognition of his tremendous achievements for the Austrian conference industry, both as Director of the Vienna Tourist Board’s Vienna Convention Bureau, and as President of Austrian Convention Bureau.
Christine Opitz, President of the special interest group, presented Christian Mutschlechner with the trophy during the course of ACCESS, Austria’s leading trade fair for congresses, conventions and incentives, at the Imperial Palace in Vienna.
A brilliant and extremely amusing laudation was delivered by Peter Baierl, Executive Director of the European Society of Radiology, with whom Christian Mutschlechner has worked together for almost 25 years on the European Congress on Radiology project.
