Director of Sales & Marketing for Half Moon, A RockResort Myrtle Dwyer announced she will retire from Jamaica’s premier luxury resort located in Rose Hall, Jamaica.
Ms. Dwyer will retire at the end of April 2011 after more than 30 years at the 400-acre luxury resort.
“I have greatly enjoyed my career at Half Moon and appreciated the opportunity to work with each of you. Half Moon has evolved into one of the world’s finest resorts and I am proud to have been a part of this outstanding team,” Ms. Dwyer said in a letter to partners and staff.
During her tenure at Half Moon Ms. Dwyer has held several management positions including assistant manager, executive assistant manager and director of sales and marketing.
She is credited with developing various business segments for the resort including groups and incentives, destination weddings, special events, internet marketing, pre-arrival concierge, customer relationship marketing, among others.
“Myrtle has been an integral and vibrant part of Half Moon for more than 34 years. Throughout her distinguished tenure she has served our guests, staff and partners with compassion, an unequalled level of excellence and true dedication,” said Aram Zerunian, general manager of Half Moon.
“We will miss her contagious sense of humour and camaraderie; but we are buoyed by the indelible legacy and example she leaves with us.”
John MacMullen, regional director of sales & marketing for the newly-appointed management company RockResorts will direct all strategic marketing for the resort, while Scott Ward regional director of sales will be responsible for the Half Moon’s direct sales initiatives.
Both John and Scott are based in RockResorts’ Florida & Caribbean regional office located at Tempo Miami.
