Reviewing the efforts thus far through the end of this year, MeetTaiwan is very glad to see that Taiwan has been chosen to host a list of prestigious international events, including the International Press Institute (IPI) World Congress, and the International Design Alliance (IDA) Congress.
In addition, international conferences that received BOFT subsidy, such as IEEE Intermag, 2011 Secutech Taipei, and so on, have gathered professionals from around the globe, which has further spread Taiwan's reputation as an ideal choice for hosting international conferences and expositions.
Through the end of the year, inspiring news keeps pouring in. In September this year, with the assistance of the Taiwan MICE Advancement Program, Taiwan won the privilege of hosting the 2017 World Congress of the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology.
In November, the Taipei City Government succeeded, in its fifth attempt, in winning the privilege to host the 2017 Universiade. In December, Taiwan beat other candidates for the privilege of hosting the 2013 World Congress of the International Real Estate Federation (FAIBCI).
The successful World Floral Expo and Deaflympics in Taipei City, the World Games in Kaohsiung, Taiwan International Hot Air Balloon Festival in Taitung and other international events hosted in Taipei and Kaohsiung have all put Taiwan in the international spotlight.
Thus, in the centennial year, the Taiwan Society of Ultrasound in Medicine and the Taipei City government have been selected to host the World Congress of the World Federation for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology and the World University Games.

After 25 years, Taiwan has finally won the privilege to host the 2013 FIABCI Congress. Nan-Yuen Huang, President of FIABCI-Taiwan, pointed out that Taiwan’s win is very significant, because when foreign institutional investors look at Asian countries, Taiwan will become a focus of their attention.
