This week the Scottish Exhibition + Conference Centre (SECC) welcomed back the International Congress on Drug Therapy in HIV Infection for its 10th conference.
To mark the occasion a coveted SECC Champion Award was presented to Congress chairman, Professor Ian Weller, thanking the congress for its repeat business during the venue’s 25 year history.
Since its first conference in 1992, the biennial International Congress on Drug Therapy in HIV has returned to Glasgow and the SECC on nine occasions, becoming affectionately known as “The Glasgow Conference”.
This week’s congress hosted around 3,000 clinicians and researchers in the field of HIV therapy.
Ben Goedegebuure, Director of Sales at the SECC commented: “The SECC has been proud to host the International Congress on Drug Therapy for the past 18 years. The event has clearly been a significant part of our 25 year history."

Professor Weller added: “It is an honour to receive the SECC Champion Award on behalf of the International Congress on Drug Therapy in HIV Infection."

Champion awards, presented throughout 2010, are part of the SECC’s 25th anniversary celebrations and acknowledge the contributions of key people and organisations over the last 25 years and the part they have played in the SECC’s success.
