The Brighton Centre & VisitBrighton has secured a number of business wins for the city from The Royal College of Midwives (RCM), and the Community Practitioners & Health Visitors Association (CPHVA).
The two associations will bring a combined total of 1,600 delegates to the Brighton Centre between 2011 and 2012, which are expected to generate around £2.1 million in economic benefit for Brighton & Hove.
The RCM’s annual conference will be held on the 15th - 16th November 2011 and the CPHVA will be holding its annual conference on the 19th – 20th October 2011 and returning again on the 7th – 8th November 2012.
Speaking of the recent wins Darren Johnson, Convention Bureau Sales Manager, VisitBrighton said; “The wins were a great start to 2011 and it is rewarding to see that the city is not only winning new business but re-booking them too.
“Our city and our community have a consistent and proven track record for delivering spectacular events. We understand the importance of such events to Brighton that’s why we work so hard to make Brighton & Hove so attractive, accessible, and competitive to organisers.”
Both VisitBrighton and the Brighton Centre have worked in close partnership with both associations to ensure an enriched delegate experience. This includes everything from excellent social itineraries to securing discounted rail travel with both Southern and First Capital Connect for delegates traveling to the city.
Darren Johnson adds; “It is imperative that we continue to evolve our product offering in line with the clients that our city is attracting whilst remaining flexible.”
