ACC Liverpool helped to kick off Liverpool’s PA community - Miss Moneypenny Meets - with its inaugural networking event, on Thursday 30th September.
Recognised as a commercial hub, the reach and buying power of PAs in the local region has become increasingly apparent; with ACC Liverpool in particular seeing an upsurge in corporate events from organisations in the Northwest.
The event, which was conceived by ACC Liverpool’s senior PA, Laura Miles, was the first of its kind in the area and drew together over 50 PAs from across the region.
Laura Miles said, “As a PA for one of Liverpool’s most recognised companies I noticed that there was no such forum for those in my role to meet up and share best practice, hence ACC Liverpool took the initiative to start this social set of likeminded individuals."
"With the support of ACC Liverpool, we decided to host the event and showcase our venue directly to the attendees. We had a large number of high-quality guests at the event; clearly highlighting an opportunity to create such a targeted community of influencers and decision makers”.
Following a champagne reception on the Riverside balcony and welcome by the ACC Liverpool team, guests were given a tour of the meeting rooms and auditorium in the BT Convention Centre before being treated to a VIP behind the scenes tour of celebrity green rooms and Club Class boxes in the adjoining Echo Arena.
A Facebook group has also been set up by ACC Liverpool for PAs who are part of the new Miss Moneypenny community to join and network with each other.
PAs attended from a number of local firms including Tate Liverpool, PWC, Grant Thornton, Everton Football Club and Sony.
