On August 16, 2010 Polish PCO Teja Tour, in cooperation of Gdańsk Convention Bureau, organized the study visit for the representative of Otto Brenner Foundation, Jan Burzinski.
During the visit to the Tri-City Otto Brenner Foundation representative was accompanied by Anna Kopek, Katarzyna Łysek Bujak and Marcelina Bujak (Teja Tur) and Beata Pawlowska (Gdansk Convention Bureau).
Conference possibilities of Gdańsk and the region were presented to Jan Burzinski by Gdańsk Convention Bureau and Teja Tur while IMEX exhibition in Frankfurt and after three weeks they decided to hold the 12th International Conference (MOE 2011) in April is in the Gdansk region.
The Otto Brenner Foundation is the scientific foundation of the IG Metall, the largest trade union for the metalworking industry in Germany.
They organize the International Conference every year in another eastern European City to develop the dialogue between middle and eastern European countries and western European countries regarding the trade-union dialogue.
The Conference is a cooperation between the Friedrich Ebert Foundation, the Hans Böckler Foundation and Otto Brenner Foundation. Last conference took place in Plzen, Czech Republique and 235 attendees joined the conference. Most of the attendees came from Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary.
The program included the visit in hotels: Hilton Gdańsk, Mercure Hevelius, Sheraton Sopot Hotel, Conference Center & Spa, Sofitel Grand Sopot, presentation of Gdansk Shipyard Centre and the restaurant "Piwnica Rajców".
