The Convention Centre Dublin (The CCD) announced today that it has been selected to host the EuroPRevent 2012 Congress, the premiere international forum for preventive cardiology.
For the first time during this event, the new 2012 European guidelines on the prevention of cardiovascular disease in clinical practice will be launched.
Organised by the European Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation, the event is scheduled from 3-5 May, 2012.
“As a professor of cardiology, I have dedicated my career to looking for ways to prevent and fight heart disease and to promote awareness of this issue,” said Professor Ian Graham, co-chair of the Congress Programme Committee and Local Organiser.
“It was a pleasure working closely with the Irish Heart Foundation to help bring EuroPRevent 2012 to Dublin and I look forward to welcoming world experts and international delegates to the City for this important event.”
The EuroPRevent 2012 Congress will also include dedicated educational and implementation programmes targeted at cardiologists, family doctors, nurses, allied health professionals and voluntary bodies such as Heart Foundations, as well as health planners, local and international politicians, Departments of Health and Health executives.

EuroPRevent 2012 will bring together leading international health experts to present their research and translate it into useable knowledge for health care workers, researchers, planners and policy makers.
