The 15th German Congress on Crime Prevention will be taking place on 10 and 11 May 2010 at the International Congress Center Berlin (ICC Berlin). Its patron is the Governing Mayor of Berlin, Klaus Wowereit.
Europe’s largest congress dedicated specifically to the work of crime prevention and associated aspects of prevention provides a wide-ranging platform, both nationally and internationally, for an interdisciplinary exchange of views and experiences.
This congress is aimed at the 2,000 or so politicians, researchers and others in positions of responsibility in the field of prevention, in local authorities, the police, the health service, youth welfare services, justice, churches, schools, clubs and associations.
In addition to crime prevention other topics will focus on preventing addiction, road safety and aspects of prevention in the health sector. There will also be a major emphasis on topics surrounding the areas of “Education – Prevention – The Future”.
The congress will be accompanied by the presentations of more than 200 projects and institutions.
