We are all aware that Social Media is an innovative and successful addition to the Marketing Tools available to the Events Industry, but not everyone is familiar with or confident about how to use Social Media.
The International Special Events Society United Kingdom (ISES UK) ran another successful Powerhour on Thursday 16 June at Church House Conference Centre introducing basic Social Media skills to an enthusiastic but untrained group of Events Professionals.
Digital Media Agency, Electric Suitcase, supported by ISES Social Media Director, Kelly Baker, delivered a highly interactive session that ensured ISES Members left understanding which Social Media Tools are the most effective in different situations; best practice guidelines about how to utilise Social Media plus the basics of setting up accounts and getting started on Twitter, Facebook and Linked In.
Simon Lane of Indigo Plumb, ISES Member, said: “The ISES Powerhour really put Social Media into perspective for me and made me far more confident about how I shall employ this tool to grow the online presence of our photography services.”
ISES Powerhours Essential Social Media Tools for Intermediates will also take place at Church House Conference Centre on Thursday 23rd June.
