The key event meeting place for the Spanish meetings and corporate events sector was held last 6th and 7th July 2010.
Held at the Pavillon 2 in IFEMA – Madrid, this fourth edition welcomed 3,300 professional visitors and presented the offer of more than 110 exhibitors from the Spanish market.
Exhibitors from other countries included France, Belgium and California.
Some conclusions:
The 110 exhibitors have given positive feedback about the quality and the quantity of the contacts that they have made during the two days.
“The surprise has been enormous; we had to print more business cards, brochures and to bring more bags. It has been a success! “ Wave Solutions
“It has been great for us, in just two day we have closed a deal. It’s a good sign for me,” Artificio
“Very interesting, there were many visitors from the events sector as well as from marketing and communication,” FDM Mobiliario
“The show is very oriented towards business, networking and to build professional contacts. It is clear that both visitors and exhibitors attended the show with a clear and precise intention: to know the latest trends about events and to establish contacts,” Zaragoza Convention Bureau
Among the 3,300 professional visitors, there were also many first time visitors/companies, an indication of the dynamism and renewal of this market.
“A great show where you can see the evolution of the sector and make you think of making different events. The educational programmes is very good,” PriceWaterHouseCoopers
“Fantastic to be able to interact with event professionals, providers, artists,… New ideas, new resources! Thanks!” Marie Claire Magazine
“In a time of crisis, I go away with more references than ever before!!” Innevento
The show was themed with its superheros; eventoMan and eventoWoman, specially created in comic style. This creativity was applied in the communication and the decoration of the event to attract attention and to transmit the objective and purpose of evento Days. The official show catalogue was presented as a comic book complete with seven full pages of comics.
“In a year where the economy is complicated, the success of evento Days allow us to draw some conclusions. Firstly, innovation in the market has not stopped but on the contrary, we have seen new solutions in furnishing, decoration, tents that can be built in minimal time, original venues, and 3D and Augmented Reality technology.
Secondly, despite budget limitations, organisers are asking for new ideas and solutions and have come to learn and get informed on the latest trends and novelties.
Lastly, for our sector, it is indispensable to have a key event where we can all meet, create relationships, be informed and educated about the latest in the market. Face to face events still deliver as an effective communication, sales and relationship building tool,” Lynn Wong, Show Director.
