EMIF, the European Meetings Industry Fair, starts announcing names of exhibitors who will attend the 2012 edition, taking place in the Brussels based Tour & Taxis Exhibition Centre on 13 & 14 March.
Eight months before the doors open, it is clear that EMIF 2012 visitors will have the chance to meet with all the important players on the Belgian market. But there is more.
EMIF 2012 will also experience a much stronger attendance of exhibitors from Europe.
The Flanders-Brussels Convention Bureau, the official public meeting and incentive promotor for the whole Flanders region and the capital city of Brussels, is very enthusiastic about the new concept and increases it’s investment in the 2012 edition.
As will Gent Congres, the official convention bureau for the medieval city of Ghent and East-Flanders, who has already signed in for additional square metres.
Other Belgian exhibitors who have already confirmed their presence are Group HVW (with venues like Maelstede, Huis Van Wonterghem, Sunstudio, Gravenhof and dancing Carré), Faculty Club (beautifully located in the restored buildings of the ‘Groot Begijnhof’ in Leuven), Antwerpen Toerisme & Congres (the official convention bureau for the diamant city of Antwerp) and Meeting in Brugge (the official convention bureau for beautiful Bruges).
Also an increasing number of international exhibitors are expressing their confidence in the new business offer. Malta and the Dutch hotel group Bilderberg have already rebooked. Visitors will also be able to meet with exhibitors from France, Lithuania, Luxembourg and many more.
This new business offer includes the presence of approximately 400 Hosted Buyers from all over Europe. Each of them will make a minimum of 8 appointments a day. Appointed recruiters will seek out qualified Hosted Buyers all over Europe.
The team is also tightening the partnerships with the association market. An Association Day and Dinner have been added to the programme on Monday 12 March. And fam trips to exhibiting destinations will set the stage for more business opportunities. Thus, EMIF 2012 stands for a completely new format with many networking possibilities.
