The largest trade show of the Austrian meetings industry is seeking to repeat last year’s achievement by organising this year’s show in accordance with the criteria of the Austrian “Green Meetings” eco-label again.
As Alexander Kery, Head of abcn, the austrian business and convention network of the Austrian National Tourist Office Österreich Werbung, says: “Our objective for access 2011 is to convince even more exhibitors of how important sustainability is, and to get them on board voluntarily as they organise their stands, give-aways etc. “
The Austrian “Green Meetings” eco-label is a quality mark reflecting environmental awareness and social responsibility in the management of meetings and events.
Another objective is described by access Austria 2011 project manager Andrea Bauer, of vereint: Vereins- und Konferenzmanagement GmbH – i.e. an increase in the number of qualified trade visitors: “Through abcn, we have made direct contact with the convention bureaus of the Austrian Laender. Close cooperation will help us attract and invite to access more organisers of conferences and meetings as well as incentives agencies from across Austria.“
On 3 and 4 October 2011, access will offer decision-makers and professional event organisers a platform for networking, know-how transfer, creative solutions, new business trends and initial contacts.
Roughly 230 exhibitors from all areas of the meetings industry, including conference centres, meeting hotels, event locations, agencies (PCOs, DMCs, AMCs, incentive agencies), convention bureaus, tourist organisations, marketing and sales alliances, catering businesses, providers of conference and congress equipment, trade fair stand construction and fitting companies, transport providers and many more are expected to participate.
International hosted buyers interested in the Austrian meetings industry, looking for appealing ideas and new partners in cooperation are addressed and invited to access by acbn.
Again, the show will also offer an appealing special programme in addition to the broad range of exhibitors: access academy 2011 will be all about the topic “Manage and Communicate Change”. Presentations on event management will target the special interests of associations on the one hand, and businesses on the other.
Admission to access and access academy is free of charge for trade visitors.
