Brisbane Marketing has posted its most successful AIME results to date, securing year-on-year increases in appointments, potential prospects and requests for proposals.
Brisbane Marketing’s Director, Convention Bureau, Ms Annabel Sullivan, said AIME had once again delivered a high quality of potential buyers and important business leads.
“AIME is the premier tradeshow for our industry and it always represents a great opportunity for us to showcase our services and Brisbane’s strengths as a business events destination,” said Ms Sullivan.
“This year we really wanted to have a strong presence and we were particularly delighted to have several AIME first-timers like the Queensland Art Gallery and Novotel Brisbane Airport join us on the Team Brisbane stand.
“We were also excited to launch our new Meeting Planners’ and Unique Venues Guides and introduce the hero of our new Effortless campaign – the girl with the chair – who caused quite a stir as she walked the aisles carrying a chair above her head!”
Mr Murray Rowbotham, Business Development Manager at Brisbane’s acclaimed Emporium Hotel said AIME provided a platform for the Emporium Hotel to connect with decision makers and educate key conference organisers of the region.
“AIME 2010 has already resulted in major conferencing quotes being requested by PCO’s who were previously not aware of the services and facilities we could offer their clients,” said Mr Rowbotham.
“AIME has been and will continue to be a ‘must attend’ event for the Emporium Hotel.”
