The VOK DAMS Stuttgart Team supported the opening of an EnBW representation office in turkey.
More than 200 guests from industries, politics, science and society were invited to the grand opening event on the area of the German embassy in Ankara.
„A special event highlight of German-Turkish co-operation in Ankara“, commented Tina Kiehnke, Head of VOK DAMS Stuttgart.
The aim of the strategic partnership is to establish generating capacities of around 2000 MW over the next twelve years, mainly in the area of renewable energies. Borusan Energy already owns a project portfolio in the area of renewable energies which is to be incorporated into the partnership.
With around six million customers, Karlsruhe-based EnBW is Germany’s third-largest energy supplier. EnBW's turnover in 2008 was over €16 billion with a workforce of over 20,000.
Its core business areas are electricity and gas together with energy and environmental services. EnBW has a balanced generation portfolio and the use of hydropower has a long tradition at the company.
Borusan Group is one of the largest and oldest conglomerates in Turkey, operating in steel, distributorship, logistics, telecommunication and energy industries.
It has business partnerships and relations with Arcelor, Mittal, Mannesmannröhren-Werke, Manheim USA, Caterpillar, BMW AG, and Land Rover. The Borusan Group generated a turnover of USD 3.4 billion in 2008.
