Valencia welcomed “Scuderia Ferrari” during the final race of the World Championship, which was preceded by a procession of the Italian car maker's oldest, most spectacular models through the city's streets.
Valencia has become a reference for all those wishing to associate their brand with dynamism, innovation, growth, lifestyle, history and culture, factors which Valencia has made its own.

Last Wednesday, the city’s most emblematic streets was converted into a luxury route for the Maranello team’s most exclusive models, including 10 of the 33 FXX super sports cars existing in the world, as well as a further 120 street vehicles hailing from France, Portugal and the rest of Spain.
The procession would not have been completed without a formula 1 car, a Ferrari 458, a 599 or a F430, among others, which were all exhibited at the end of the route in the Town Square.
The city was bathed in red until Sunday, when the ‘il cavalino rampante’ fiesta came to its conclusion at the Ricardo Tormo Circuit in Cheste following an extensive agenda that had its most glamorous moment in the form of a dinner for more then 1000 select guests, including the Ferrari team chairman Luca Cordero di Montezemolo.
For a single night, El Palau de les Arts swapped the beautiful classical voices of Madame Butterfly and La Traviata for the roar of the Ferraris lined up in the spectacular City of Arts and Sciences.
Valencia's Calle Poeta Querol hosts such exclusive shops as Loewe, Louis Vuitton, Hermés, Bulgari and the porcelain figures of the Valencian company Lladró, as well as fashion designers such as Francis Montesinos, Presen Rodríguez and the up-and-coming Tonuca. The Ferrari and Maserati shop is located in Avenida del General Avilés.
And to round off a pleasant stay in Valencia, one may visit one of the city’s six restaurants which hold a Michelin Star: La Sucursal, el Riff and Alejandro del Toro, as well as other magnificent restaurants such as Alto de Colón, located in the city’s jewel of modernist architecture, the Colon Market, El Submarino, located in the Oceanogràfico within the City of Arts and Sciences, and El Nou Racó, set in the heart of the Albufera natural park.
Ferrari’s commitment to Valencia is a reference within the sphere of sporting events, as is demonstrated by the recent Tennis Open 500, the World Motorcycling Championship staged last weekend and next year’s Formula 1, Global Champions Tour and MTV Winter.
The majority of the city’s seven five-star hotels had registered almost full occupation. The former wool mill which hosts The Westin, the former spa which brings to mind Greek temples and which hosts Las Arenas, and Hospes Palau de la Mar, all offer their clients magnificent spas and pleasant evening with seas views and relaxing live jazz.
Valencia will also be the venue for the 33rd America’s Cup.
Even though everyone is waiting for the Supreme Court of New York’s sentence, Alinghi and BMW Oracle teams have finally reached an agreement, choosing Valencia as the best venue to host the 33rd edition of the oldest trophy in sports, the America’s Cup.
This election benefits a city which has proven its potential in sports events and other kind of celebrations, and completes an already big agenda for next year.
