The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre’s (QEIICC) Sue Etherington has advised delegates at ICCA UK’s recent masterclass on securing association business as a long-term strategy rather than a quick fix to cutbacks by corporate clients.
Sue’s presentation on how to use the ICCA database to generate leads provided delegates with a fast track approach to securing association business.
ICCA members are able to use the database to carry out targeted searches for all congresses and international associations by specific criteria such as geographical location or sector.
Comments Sue: “The QEIICC finds the ICCA database one of the most useful tools of ICCA membership and in our experience it is invaluable in helping to generate leads that convert into high value business.”
More than sixty delegates from hotels and convention bureaux attended the masterclass, held at Virgin Atlantic’s training centre in Crawley.
Recently promoted to acting commercial director at The QEIICC, Sue sits on the board of ICCA (UK and Ireland chapter).
