MCI Dublin showcases the value of Live Events

Delaney-Carty-GilliganDublin's corporate meeting and events community gathered in the GUINNESS STOREHOUSE® last week for an exclusive event jointly hosted by MCI Dublin and Diageo.

In a tactical and pragmatic approach to showcasing the strategic value and effectiveness of live meetings and events, MCI Dublin took the opportunity to acknowledge the loyalty and support of existing and new customers.

Speaking to a capacity audience including some international clients of MCI, Padraic Gilligan, Managing Director of MCI Dublin said "Corporate meetings and events were amongst the casualties of the economic downturn with many companies cancelling and scaling back their activities due to lack of budget or perception concerns".

While business bookings from MCI Dublin's established revenue channels have held steady throughout 2009, Gilligan added that the company had also worked hard to explore alternate business opportunities with success in the pharmaceutical and FMCG sectors.

Rob Allidine, MCI's Director of Events acknowledged MCI's partnership with Diageo saying "We were honoured to work with Diageo in the spectacular success of the Guinness 250 celebrations. MCI's delivery of three key events centred on the value proposition of bringing people together to celebrate the brand".

He added "Nothing can compete with the effectiveness of face-to-face communication and MCI Dublin's matchless experience of creative delivery, supported by its internationally leveraged buying power, means we are uniquely positioned to help customers build community and deliver on corporate objectives".

Managing Director of GUINNESS STOREHOUSE® Paul Carty commented "We are delighted to partner with MCI Dublin. Together we have undertaken many large events and through our learning and mutual co-operation we have developed an excellent working relationship".
