The Istanbul Convention & Visitors Bureau (ICVB) is organizing the IAPCO National Seminar in Istanbul between 14th and 16th September 2009.
The International Association of Professional Congress Organizers (IAPCO) is one of the prominent meeting industry associations with over 100 members in over 35 countries.
IAPCO members organise in excess of 4000 meetings annually, totalling some 1,8 million delegates and 0,5 million m2 exhibition space, representing an economic impact in the region of 2,9 billion Euros.
IAPCO is also a leader in congress education, with national, regional and international seminars and caters for national and regional groups or organizations who wish to stage an IAPCO Seminar in their own country or a particular geographical area.
The IAPCO National Seminar Istanbul presented by ICVB offers a unique opportunity to the Turkish meeting industry and participants will benefit from a 3 days intensive educational program introduced by IAPCO Training Academy.
Anyone involved in the meetings industry is welcome, and the program will benefit those of all levels of knowledge, whether new to the industry or having many years of experience. Participants will come from: PCO, DMC companies, travel agencies, association management companies, convention bureaus, national tourism bodies, convention and exhibition centers, conference hotels, airlines, interpretation and translation companies, national and international associations, corporate companies and exhibition management companies.
The seminar is focused on the organisation of international association meetings; however, the principals can be applied to all kinds of conferences.
An opportunity to refresh one's knowledge of the different types of meetings and how they impact upon our industry: Association Meetings, Governmental Meetings and Corporate Clients.
Seminar participation is limited to 60 participants. Applicants will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis and only after payment has been received.
