Feria Valencia projects a strong growth trend

valencia_ccSustained growth. That’s the path that Feria Valencia and its Convention and Exhibition Centre have followed steadily since 2006.

The institution has succeeded in marketing one million square meters in a year.

This strong increase has been possible thanks to the major growth enjoyed by the event business.

A business that, over the past year and in terms of square meters, has grown by 147%. In 2008 a total of 62 events were held on the site, compared with 34 staged during the previous financial year, which works out to a 82% increase.

That’s what the statistics bear out. In 2008 Feria Valencia consolidated its position as one of the main dynamizing forces in the economy and in the business tourism industry.

The Valencian institution has benefited from a modern, spacious facility—the fourth largest in the word. With a net surface area of 321,000 square meters, 19 pavilions and a spectacular Convention and Exhibition Centre, the organization has enriched the array of services offered by its city.

Valencia is the target of burgeoning demand for trade fairs, conventions, events and mass gatherings.

Versatility and a spectacular architectural design are the badges of identity of Feria Valencia and its Convention and Exhibition Centre. These attributes, together with more than 90 years’ experience organizing international exhibitions and an extensive catalog of services, make the facility a splendid setting for all sorts of fairs and events.

High value facilities

The Convention and Exhibition Centre is integrated into Spain’s largest trade fair center, located in the city of Valencia, which has become a pole of attraction for major events.

Valencia counted 1,500,000 professional visitors in 2008, and 13,000 exhibitors participated in the diverse exhibitions staged by the institution. In 2007 and 2008 around 100 fairs and events were held.

The infrastructure is comprised of 19 pavilions, 42 meeting rooms and three auditoriums offering different capacities and equipped with the latest technological innovations.

Valencia also has a fundamental differentiating element in pavilion 5, annexed to the Convention and Exhibition Centre, which has 10.000 square meters of floor space and a 20,000-square-meter landscaped pedestrian area that is adaptable to any type of outdoor activity.

A great space for great events

Feria Valencia projects a strong growth trend in fairs and events for this year. As a consequence of the agreement signed with Reed Exhibitions, the world’s top fair organizer, the facilities will host two new exhibitions: Sports Unlimited Valencia and Hygienalia, which, together with other fairs promoted by the institution, such as Forinvest, Egética, Feria de la Salud (Health Fair), Motor Box Experience and Intermodal, round out the offering of new events for this year.

During the past year, Valencia has hosted events of the caliber of Fotovoltaica (European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition) a rendezvous that is a world leader in its industry, EMECA Assembly (European Major Exhibition Centers Association) and major entertainment events such as the Cirque du Soleil and the Motor Box Experience, held simultaneously with the Formula 1 Grand Prix.
