ega professional congress organisers will join the other partners of INCON, the international partnership of the world’s leading organisers of conferences, meetings and events, in Istanbul for its annual educational forum, the INCON University, from 30 January to 1 February 2009.
Hosted locally by SERENAS, the INCON’s partner for Turkey, the university will be attended by owners and other professionals from all INCON partner companies who, between them, operate in 31 countries with offices in 72 major world cities from Athens to Zurich. INCON partners control a total spend of over $1 billion and play a crucial decision making role in the contracting of large conference business globally.
Aimed at ensuring that employees of INCON partner companies have access to the most up-to-date, cutting-edge skills and data, this year’s University syllabus will focus on Sponsorship and Exhibition Management.
The President of ega, Emma Aru, will represent the company in Istanbul, with one of her senior project managers, Laura Romualdi. Mrs Romualdi will attend the INCON University as speaker presenting a case-history about the topic: Successful Exhibitions.
Prior to its commencement, key figures in the Business Tourism and Meetings Industry in Turkey including personalities from the Turkish Ministry for Tourism and the Mayor of Istanbul will address the INCON University on the future of Congress and Convention Tourism both globally and in the local Turkey context.
This Open session will be attended by representatives from various hospitality associations as well as the 9 leading Professional Conference Organising companies in Turkey. The client community and the press will also be in attendance with representatives from 60 local medical associations, 30 pharmaceutical companies and 6 members of the international industry press.
INCON leaders will address attendees on such topics as Association Management, The Future of Medical Meetings and the Congress Market in the World Today.
