Cheshire has witnessed a number of high profile venue openings this month, according to the tourism management organisation for the destination.
Visit Chester & Cheshire now boasts an additional new hotel, 96 bedrooms, three meeting suites, and two restaurants – and that’s just in May alone.
The developments follow a survey carried out by Visit Chester & Cheshire last year, which illustrated the region was to undertake a massive £60million refurbishment drive in 2010.
Fiona Brown
, Business Tourism Account Manager at Visit Chester & Cheshire comments:
“The multimillion pound investments taking place in Cheshire’s meetings, conferences and events venues demonstrates how, as a destination, we are working to attract business tourism by consistently improving and developing our facilities. It is a very exciting time for us and we have already had a number of enquiries relating to the new facilities we now boast”.
Faye Kelly General Manager of Abode Chester, which opened this month, adds:
"We identified Chester as a key location for our business some years ago and are really pleased with the opening. So far it has been a great success from a brand and new business perspective, with 46 meeting enquiries taken to date along with many leisure bookings. Our focus now is to constantly deliver the service Cheshire as a region is renowned for and to continue to develop in this region”.
