Lancashire and Blackpool is showcasing its conference facilities at a major international congress in London next week as its drive to highlight the strength of its business tourism offering continues to gather pace.
Lancashire & Blackpool Conferences & Meetings is attending the high-profile two–day Association Congress, which attracts delegates from across the UK and Europe, starting on July 12.
The event offers an unrivalled opportunity for group and association executives, organisers and specialists in conferences, events, membership and education to learn about key issues facing the industry, as well as the latest trends and developments.
As the leading association conference in Europe, it will be attended by representatives of more than 150 leading buyers and conference organisers.
Staged this year at the Millennium Conference Centre and Hotel in Kensington, it will attract representatives from professional conference organisers, trade associations, professional organisations, chambers of commerce, forums, networks and societies, as well as regional and international federations.
The congress is the latest prominent sector event being attended by Lancashire & Blackpool Conferences & Meetings, a joint initiative between Lancashire and Blackpool Tourist Board (LBTB) and visitBlackpool.
The partnership was set up to highlight the area’s variety and quality of conference and meeting facilities, along with the unique and distinctive venues and activities it can offer organisations of all types and sizes.
The presence at the Association Congress is just one of a range of new initiatives to promote the area and its fantastic offerings this year, which are already starting to pay dividends with conference bookings on the rise.
