With the objective to pay tribute and celebrate the achievements of the Ambassador Program, the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau (PRCB) selected Engineer Pedro Lorenzo as the Distinguished Ambassador of the year 2009-2010.
Mr. Lorenzo was chosen for his constant and unconditional support to the Bureau, to the groups and conventions market and to the Puerto Rico economy since becoming a volunteer Ambassador 10 years ago, but particularly during fiscal year 2009-2010.
The Ambassadors Program has generated $18MM to the local economy in this fiscal year alone.
“We are very proud to have Pedro as an Ambassador of the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau,” commented Ana María Viscasillas, president and CEO, Puerto Rico Convention Bureau.
“His professionalism, unwavering dedication and disposition in attracting new groups and helping us close business for the destination make Pedro a formidable representation of what an Ambassador is. Pedro’s passion is contagious and through his contacts we are driving Puerto Rico’s economy,” concluded.
Pedro Lorenzo was recognized with the Distinguished Ambassador medal designed exclusively for the Ambassador program. The medal is a metal composition in 23 karat gold clad inspired by the presidential honor medals. Mr. Lorenzo is the third Ambassador in obtaining such recognition by the Puerto Rico Convention Bureau.
