On Friday 19 November Johannesburg Tourism Company (JTC) scooped a Diamond Arrow award at the annual Professional Management Review magazine’s Africa Leaders and Achievers Awards Breakfast at The Hyatt Regency.
This is the highest award in the category (and overall) winner for the company which has done the most in the City of Johannesburg during the past year to promote tourism and conservation.
Category achievers were rated in an annual survey - by 250 CEO's, MD's, owners of companies, company directors and senior local and provincial government officials – on contribution to the economic growth and development of the City of Johannesburg.
“This is a wonderful surprise, accolade and vindication for the small, dedicated and hardworking JTC team - a vote of confidence, recognition, goodwill and appreciation from our peers and stakeholders,” said CEO Lindiwe Kwele.
“This completely unprompted, unsolicited recognition has given us a wonderful boost in the face of the challenging and competitive environment in which we operate – we’re thrilled!”
