Chinese Events Are Looking For Italy

Firenze-CIBTMTuscany and Sicily together represented Italy in China to the Asian event organizers market.

More than 120 meetings in three days of CIBTM fair for the Convention Bureaux. PromoFlorence also involved to select interested local companies.

A partnership between Tuscany and Sicily to promote Italy to the Asian event planners market.

This is a summary of the results of the important and new promotional agreement between Florence Convention Bureau (FCB) and Sicily Convention Bureau for the sixth edition of the China Incentive Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition - CIBTM - the most important fair in Asia for the world of meeting planners, held in Beijing from August 30th to September 1st, 2011, that every year hosts about 4,000 visitors, 400 buyers and 400 exhibitors from all over the world.

The decision of this collaboration is due to past experiences which have confirmed what the Chinese customers, for your trip in Europe, is involved in multiple destinations in one trip.

Great result for both the Regions, with more than 120 interviews in 3 days with local buyers interested in the Italian locations. Regarding to Florence Convention Bureau, the consortium has been supported also by the collaboration of PromoFlorence – Italian Chamber of Commerce to organize meetings targeted towards Chinese companies appropriately selected.

Florence Convention Bureau has been able to represent the Tuscan Region as a whole as a result of the agreement reached between Tuscany and Florence Convention Promotion Bureau to assign him a leading role in promoting congressional Tuscan destinations for 2011.

FCB sales manager Eleonora Odorino comments: "Italy always arouses a great fascination in the Chinese market. It is true that CIBTM is still a young fair and that the events market in Chine is I development step, but we must admit that Florence we recorded a huge success, with over 50 interviews conducted and, in our case, a multitude of business cards left at the desk."

The stand, called "The Best of Italy", has tried to give a taste of Italy through images of the distinctive landscapes of both the regions, with their famous beauties, appreciated all over the world.
