In 2010, the Gdansk Convention Bureau (GCB) organized 4 trainings for business tourism leaders called The Tricity Academy of Business Meeting Organizers (TAOSB).

The main aim of TAOSB is to improve the knowledge and qualifications of meeting industry specialists and to increase the tourist attractiveness of Gdansk and Pomerania Region.
The Tricity Academy is addressed to all from the Pomerania region, who deal with organization of conferences, trainings, business meetings and events.
Trainings are organized within the project "Business tourism promotion as the trademark of Gdansk and Pomerania" co-financed by the European Regional Development Funds.
"The additional funds allow us to invite the international experts such as: Linda Pereira, Ulrike von Arnold or Mady Keup, who share with us their knowledge and experience."
"These are the only free trainings of this type organized in the Pomerania Region and a unique chance to gain knowledge about this still new and developing part of industry that business tourism is" - says Anna Gorska, CEO of Gdansk Tourist Organization / Gdansk Convention Bureau.

"I have participated in all TAOSB trainings. Every one of them is the great opportunity to exchange experiences and views with the international experts. Interviews with them are being published in our Expert Section" - says Jarosław Marciuk from Inspiros Consulting Group.
"One of the interesting subject was trends in meeting industry, changes connected with technology development and new style of life. The added value of trainings is the possibility of networking with hoteliers, PCO"s and others".
