Visit Wales has become the latest UK conference destination to join the Meetings Industry Association’s newly created Destinations Group, and encourage its 250 plus venues to adopt the VistBritain endorsed AIM accreditation scheme.
Visit Wales has been a strong endorser of the AIM scheme since its inception, and its latest membership of the Destinations Group brings the total number of destinations represented to 26.
Jane Landstrom from Visit Wales, the Welsh Assembly Government’s tourism team responsible for the promotion and development of tourism in Wales, said:
“As a conference destination Wales is committed to quality, and becoming both members of the AIM accreditation scheme and the Destination Group means we can promote our excellent range of venues whilst giving our nation the voice it deserves.”
As well as having the official endorsement of VisitBritain throughout England and Wales, AIM is also supported by Visit England, Visit Wales, MPI and ABPCO, and is the only recognised accreditation scheme for the meetings industry within the UK.
