For the first time, Meeting Professionals International (MPI) is hosting a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) exam at the European Meetings & Events Conference (EMEC) from 13 – 15 February 2011.
In addition to the exam, MPI will offer delegates a day of training to prepare for the testing during a pre-exam course.
The prep-course will take place on 12 February and cost €120. The CMP exam will take place on 13 February.
“We are very pleased that for the first time we can not only offer the CMP exam at EMEC, but also have a full day of preparation for this internationally recognized certification,” said Joyce Dogniez, CMM, director of development for MPI.
“Obtaining your CMP is an important accomplishment in the development of a meeting professional and provides the recognition of acquired competencies based on an international competency standard.”
The foremost certification of the meetings industry, administered by the Convention Industry Council (CIC), the CMP program recognizes individuals who have achieved the industry's highest standard of professionalism.
The deadline to register for the CMP exam in Düsseldorf is 16 December 2010. Registration for EMEC 2011 is now open and discounted rates are available until 14 January 2011.
