The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) Canada their new Fundamentals of Business Travel Management™ course with more than 20 students in Calgary at the WestJet Airlines eco-friendly campus.
The GBTA Academy announced during Convention 2011 in Denver that the content for the Fundamentals of Business Travel Management™ program was revised and updated.
GBTA Canada’s Managing Director, Tanya Racz said, “GBTA values the need to deliver quality, relevant education to meet our members needs at all stages of their professional development. It is a fantastic entry-level program that all business travel professionals should take to ensure their practices are current in the marketplace.”
The Fundamentals of Business Travel is a gateway course that focuses on the basics of business travel and teaches participants to maximize cost containment, improve efficiency, and create a managed travel culture in a company.
Attendees hear expert course facilitators on the subjects of travel safety and security, travel spending trends and benchmark metrics.
An overview of business travel technology is included along with a comprehensive discussion on travel policy, savings opportunities and calculating the return on investment (ROI) of a managed travel program.
The Global Business Travel Association offers professional career training through its GBTA Academy, where students can customize a learning path based on their current level of experience and knowledge.
With three certificate levels, Associate, Manager, and Leader, the Academy provides instructions in all facets of the business travel market.
