The members of the Financial & Insurance Conference Planners (FICP) elected one new member to serve on the association’s board of directors at the 2011 FICP Annual Conference, held at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio.
Wayne Robinson, CMP, Head of Conferences and Events, Guardian Life Insurance Company, New York, New York will serve a three-year term, which becomes effective January 1, 2012.
By acclamation, Koleen Roach, Director, Meetings & Conference Management, Securian Financial Group, St. Paul, Minnesota becomes the 2012 FICP Chair.
The board of directors elected Kelli Livers, CMP, Director, Travel & Administrative Services, Forethought Financial Group, Houston, Texas as the FICP Chair-Elect and Treasurer. Livers will automatically become FICP Chair in 2013.

To serve on the board of directors, one must be an FICP member in good standing for a continuous two-year period; be able to maintain their corporate and/or meeting planning responsibilities as well as their board responsibilities; have the full support of their company’s management; and have at least five years of work experience in the meeting/conference planning field.
Departing the board at the end of the year is Dan Young, CMP, CLU, ChFC, LLIF, Director of Event Planning & Field Recognition, Thrivent Financial, Minneapolis, Minnesota.
2012 Hospitality Partner Advisory Council
- Colleen Brzozowski, Director of Sales, Grand Traverse Resort & Spa, was named Chair of the Hospitality Partner Advisory Council (HPAC) for 2012. The 2011 Chair, Kathy Fort
- Carty, CMP, President & CEO, Destination Services Corporation (DSC), will serve as Past Chair.
- The HPAC welcomed Clarence Day, Director of National Accounts, The Ritz-Carlton, Kapalua for 2012.
- Bob Beach, CMP, Director of National Sales, Destination Hotels & Resorts; Katy Gettinger, National Account Director, Starwood Hotels & Resorts; Diane Goodman, CMP, President, Goodman Speakers Bureau, Inc.; and Michael Tarr, CMP, Vice President, Convention Sales, Chicago Convention & Tourism Bureau will continue on the council. Brent Centlivre, Senior Sales Manager, Disney Institute will depart.
